概要 In automated assembly systems, short stops of the assembly line occur frequently because of the failure of assembly operations. The short stops decrease the production rate of the system, and force operators to observe the assembly line continua11y.In consequence, the expected effectiveness of introducing an automated assembly system becomes hard to acquire.It is therefore a vital task to reduce the short stoppages in automated assembly systems.In this study, an inspection and repair strategy which reduce the short stops is proposed.An inspection and repair configuration problem and an assembly sequence decision problem are formulated under this strategy, and simple algorithms for these problems are presented.The effectiveness of the proposed strategy and algorithms is investigated through numerical examples.
