Details Iris M. Young proposed the social connection model of responsibility: "all those who contribute by their actions to the structural processes that produce injustice share responsibility for those harms" (Young 2011, p. 109). The shared responsibility is forward-looking and different from the backward-looking liability. While her concept is attractive, we point out that those who benefit from the structure rarely have the incentive or the economic resources to change it. I suggest that this difficulty be resolved by the idea of "responsibility of wealth": owners of great wealth and large corporations must be accountable for the fairness of their earnings, and must have the obligation to spend part of that wealth on the public good. The idea of "responsibility of wealth" not only provides an economic condition for Young's concept but also introduces new views about distributive justice and the equality in fair opportunity.
