概要 | "Reflection Bot" is a chatbot originally designed for daily journaling in self-directed language learning, with features that promote goal setting and reflection through personalized notifications. In the present paper, we explore the potential of utilizing this chatbot for students’ weekly learning supports in a PBL course through an analysis of interview data from several new instructors. The results highlight various issues with the PBL course as currently practiced, such as inadequate instructional time for students, lack of intervention training for instructors, and underestimation of the importance of intervention. Weshow that if we add to the existing chatbot the ability to intervenes for students' learning on behalf of instructors or to show instructors how to do that could potentially solve some of the issues. |
